Much love for The Tick! Dan and I were talking about how it was stupid they changed the names of American Maid and Die Fledermaus for the live action show. But I found out yesterday that the reason they did that was because Disney obtained Fox’s former saturday morning programming lineup and owned the rights to trademarks and names, which prevented those characters from being in the live action show. Which really doesn’t make sense why just those two characters had problems getting cleared.
Anyway, The Tick was a fantastic comic and show (animated and live action. Animated more though). I gotta find me some trades. I haven’t read it in so long.
How did I have no idea there was a Tick comic? Must read this.
